Summary

Arena_granery is a "recycled" map, made by Valve. The original version, was cp_granery. Arena_granery is tweaked to fit in the Arena gametype.


It takes place at an industrial place, pherhaps a granery itself. The environment is Industrial, although outside of the industrial zone, it's more farm like. The map is, like almost every Arena map, symetrical, simple, and with a central CP. It is surrounded by containers, and it's not a very big map either. But almost every Arena map isn't big. There are no healthvails.


Matches in this map are different. They go either fast, or long. Fast because the map isn't that big, and you can get sight on an enemy very quick, and long, because there are enough hiding spots and corners in which you can camp in.


You can go 2 ways, left or right. They both end up at the CP. You can also go right, and walk up a steep stairway, to get a nice view overlooking the CP. There are almost no further entries to the CP. Both left and right, even when walking up the steep stairway, lead to the CP. All entrances meet, at that CP.


What makes this map Unique?

  • Easy map to learn.
  • You can reach everything with every class. *jumping*.

Strategies

  • You can walk over the containers at the CP. Make advantage of this.
  • Sniper can get a good view if he moves either left or right, and then to the side. Usually, they don't cross the CP; they go around it.
  • Engineers can make sentries in the corners of the above said tactic. They cannot be outflanked easily, and it kills any rushers.

Especially at the steep stairway, on the right, if you go back a bit, there is an ideal sentry spot, and healing spot.
